OFX Login Information: You need to enter your current Pershing Investment Manager Services ID preceded by the correspondent number in the Customer ID field while logging in to setup Pershing IMS accounts in Quicken. Q: What is OFX?  

 
A: OFX stands for Open Financial Exchange. OFX is a data transfer protocol that is jointly owned by Intuit ® Inc., Microsoft ® Corporation and CheckFree ® Corporation. OFX enables financial institutions to send your account information in a secure manner over the Internet. It enables clients to download their brokerage account transactions, balances, and holdings for use in personal financial software products such as Intuit Quicken and Microsoft Money.  

 
 
Q: Why does my Customer ID and PIN not work in Quicken?  

 
A: You will need to enter your current Pershing Investment Manager Services ID preceded by the correspondent number in the Customer ID field while logging in to setup Pershing IMS accounts in Quicken. For example, if your ID is johndoe and your correspondent number is 123, you will need to enter this information as 123johndoe in the ID field. For the PIN field, you can enter the same information as you would enter in the password field on PortolioPoint.
You could also get the Customer ID and PIN through the Pershing Investment Manager Services Registration process.
 

 
 
Q: Do I need to register before downloading?  

 
A: Registration is required for downloading your PortfolioPoint information.  

 
 
Q: When may I download my account information?  

 
A: You may download your account information at any time, however, keep in mind that intra-day activity on your account is not applied to the download. Only prior day information is downloaded.  

 
 
Q: What security technology is being utilized to safeguard each download?  

 
A: Currently, each transfer of information is protected with a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which provides a secure communication path between your PC and our server.  

 
 
Q: What is the purpose of downloading?  

 
A: By downloading your account information into Quicken ® or Microsoft Money, you limit the need to manually enter your account information.  

 
 
Q: Does Pershing Investment Manager Services charge any fees for the ability to download?  

 
A: No. Pershing Investment Manager Services is offering this service as a convenience to its investors, therefore the ability to download is free.  

 
 
Q: How long does it take to download information into my account?  

 
A: Download completion will depend on the amount of account data, modem transfer rate, and your computer processing speed. Generally, it will take between one and five minutes for your information to be displayed.  

 
 
Q: Can I download information for multiple Pershing Investment Manager Services accounts?  

 
A: Yes. All your Pershing Investment Manager Services account information can be downloaded.  

 
 
Q: What account information will be downloaded?  

 
A: You will be able to download your account history, balances, and portfolio holdings into Quicken. For Microsoft Money, you will be able to download your account history and holdings.  

 
 
Q: How much past transaction data can I download?  

 
A: During the first download, the most recent two years of your account history will be sent. Thereafter, we encourage you to regularly download your account information on a frequent basis. Please note that intra-day account information is not downloaded, only previous day information.  

 
 
Q: Why do transactions displayed in Quicken and Microsoft Money differ from what is shown on the PortfolioPoint Website?  

 
A: We are limited to sending only the information supported by Quicken and Microsoft Money. We have no control over how Quicken or Microsoft Money displays your account information.  

 
 
Q: Who should I contact if I cannot resolve a problem?  

 
A: If the problem relates to the ability to download, please contact your financial advisor. For all problems with Quicken, please visit Quicken Support. For all problems with Microsoft Money, please visit Microsoft Support.
